Hello,

my name is Michael and i am from Germany. I am living in Rot am See. This is located between Nuremberg and Stuttgart.
I am specialiced on Invertebrates, especially shrimps.

Maybe you are wondering, why i signed up to a British Forum. On the one hand side I am very interested how others keep their tropical fishes and on the other side I just finished school and now I am searching for chances to improve my (bad) English.

Sorry for my English but
Best regards,
Mike

Hallo Michael..... At least now I'm not the only "non English speaking" alien on this site.... (which to date, I thought was more USA than UK)

However, they do say that "of food and literature, the English produce the best, but consume the worst" Absolutely nothing wrong with yer English...... They'll consume it without even noticing.... like they've been doing with my feeble attempts at expression over the last 3 months....

Welcome to "our" forum...... I am Ludwig... from South Africa and Afrikaans speaking.

Hi & Welcome 2 TFF :)

lol btw ur english is far better than some engish ppl i know so i dont think theres much 2 improve :p

:hi: to the forum :)
There are surprising amount of us German speakers on this forum, and so far your English is very good :)

Hi Michael and welcome to the forum :)

what sort of shrimp do you keep?

Hey Guys,

Thank you for your welcome! I am very surprised that you like my English ;)
Maybe German grammare school isn't that bad you may think if you read about "Pisa Studies" :D (I hope that is the right name in GB,too)
But I think GB has some very strange accents. Like Afrikaans sounds a little bit like a very strange German accent @Ludwig ;)

@Colin:
I am keeping & breeding Crystal Red/ Red Bee Shrimps, Black, Red & Blue Tiger Shrimps, Snowwhite Shrimps and some of the newly imported Sulawesi Shrimps.
I really, really love all my shrimps. I have about 20-25 tanks now, only in one I keep fishes - because of my mother :D

Regards,
Mike

Have to agree.... If you speak German verrrrry slowly, I can (bassically) understand what you're saying.
