Hi everyone, I've just joined the group and would like to introduce myself. My name's Rachel, i'm from Berkshire in the UK and have been into fish keeping since childhood when my dad bought home a goldfish from a funfair (glad they don't do that now!!) anyways said fish lived to be 23 years old and he inspired me to keep various other tropical species over the years.

I have recently during lockdown returned to fishkeeping after a couple of years break as I moved home in 2018 and my time was taken up by house renovation now that is finished my 330L tank is now back up and running. I have returned to keeping discus, this time I have gone for Stendkers discus as they are used to hard water and I wanted more of a low maintenance tank (not having to mix up RO water to soften etc). I also have some companion species in the tank which include white fin tetra and some leopard corys.

I look forward to learning from you all!

Thanks
Rachel

Wow! 23 years for a goldie. I’m partial to goldfish. Your discuss tank is amazing! Welcome to the forum! :)

What an awesome tank and beautiful fish. You should enter our next Tank of the Month contest which starts on November 1st and will feature tanks sized at 31 gallons and larger.
Are those plants live? If not, perhaps you should add some.

Fantastic tank, I would love to see more live plant, but everyone around here would expect me to say that:)
