Hello
I got a poorly fish it's a female White Cloud, seems perfectly healthy - well apart from the fact it's swimming on it's side and struggles with boyency. No other fish in the tank are acting strange - seems to be isolated to just this one - water quality is ok too. Have taken it out with some tank water, gravel and plant, and placed it in a hospital tank on it's own. When it can swim normally it looks normal, but then flops onto its side
My guess is that this is going to be food related, injury, or I guess it's possible it's caused by swim bladder disease?
I really don't know
Is there anything I can do for it? I know it's 10:55pm and my lfs is closed, but was wondering if there is anything at all I maybe able to do, I've heard of salt baths and temperature raising? What I don't want to do is something that will make it worse, but would like to make it as comfortable as possible, I'm guessing a cuddle is out of the question
Ack well - first ill fish in fish keeping
hopfully the last - although I've always been told, where's there's livestock they'll be dead stock.
Many thanks to all of you
Tim
