So I've been gone a long time but I thought I'd show my efforts to you guys to see what you think

The tank's been going for a fair amount of time now and its been through quite a few changes recently including the addition of the rather weird "Twig tailed Catfish"! (Sturisoma Aureum). In the vid it goes through some full tank shots and then my rather wobbly camera skills take you as close to the fish as possible

The stock are as follows:
24 Ember tetra
6 Peppered Cory's
6 Splashing Tetra
2 Nerite snails
5 Amano shrimp
One twig tailed catfish

Apart from my shaky hands and out of focusness, I hope you think everything is looking good but I would really like some feedback on what to improve so go ahead and tell me whatever. The same goes for the stocking, if you think that I need more of a certain fish etc. please tell me

That is a very nice tank you have created ATK. Very impressed.

Nice camera work also!!

Thanks guys, I was thinking of adding another Twig tail as they're so awesome, only thing is they cost £26 each and I don't have the money!!! Maybe next month I'll be able to add another in there to keep him company :) (They're also great algae eaters too so that's always a bonus!)

Is there anything you think my need improving?

really nicely produced video. Love the catfish. not seen one of them before.

whats your guide for keeping your plants in such good condition?

If you want in depth advice I'd go over to the guys in the Planted tanks section for advice. What I'll say is that I went for the "Low tech" approach (no fertilisers, no CO2, low lighting). This way all I had to do was get some easy to keep plants and just let them go for it. I have a plant substrate underneath fine gravel so that the plants can root in nicely and then take in as much nutrients as they need from there. Heres a link to my rather old journal for the tank which goes through the plants that I bought and how I set up the tank in case you're interested!

The catfish is rather strange I must admit, that's probably why I love him so much!
