Hi, good news my rio 180 finaly cycled last thursday, three days short of three weeks. thanks for all the help. Now i have another prob, the temp in the tank rises to 27c - 28c early evening all day it sits at 26c now we are into warmer days what temp should we work at i have to switch the heater off but the temp does not come down. I darenot go to bed with out putting the heater back on. any sugestions.

Why do you have to turn it off?

Tempature fluctuations are bad for the fish, other than the natural when the lights go off. It can cause ich in weak fish.
