heating in filter

hey, i have a wet dry filter, i was wondering if i could put my heater in the filter as opposed to the tank for asthetic reasons or would it... (insert catastrophy here)

What filter do you have?
It may be possible, but probably more trouble than it's worth.
How about the hydor in-line heater?
this fits on the return pipe of your filter - not sure how well it would work with a wet/dry though, as there wouldn't always be good flow.

Those heater's are pretty expensive


If you can fit a submersible heater into the filter without having the heater in the way of moving parts then it should work great, and much more efficiently
