Hi

I would like to know if you could put a heater in an plastic tank, if if the tank was only 2 gallons large what is the lowest wattage i could have?

I have heard of these heater mats could you use one of those underneath a plastic tank?

I used a non-adjustable 25 watt heater in my 2 gallon (plastic) before I put fish in it and the temp was around 96 degrees. Way too hot for a fish! You might try it with the matt type of heater and watch your temps, before you add fish to it. If it's in the right temp range then you should be good to go.
