can anybody tell me what the most reliable water heater is that is around 1-25 dollars?

What wattage are you looking for? If you don't know, what size tank are you going to put it in? Price will vary depending on this. I have mostly ProAquatics heaters - a Petsmart brand, and they seem to work well for me. I prefer having a personally adjustable temperature, so I think the extra dollars are worth it. Still under $25 though, I believe...

I find that Tronic heaters are good and reliable but not sure how much they are over there.
They usually cost about £20-£25 over here.
