I am going to buy a fluval 404 but is it put possible to put a heater inside it to make my tank look more tidier??

Can anyone supply and advice xx Thank you in advance xx

There is no way of putting a heater inside a filter, but there is the option of an in-line heater. These go into a break in the outlet pipe from the filter. Could be interesting fitting one to the Fluval hosing, as the ribbs will mean that the standord fittings won't work. I'd get some smooth boar hose to fit onto the fluval, and then get an in-line heater, made by Hydor.

Don't buy a thermo filter, they almost all have issues with the sensors running the heater-stat, and the heating elements in all that I have seen are basicaly Ketal heaters/ They are prone to lime-scale damage, overheaating due to dirt build-up arround the element in them and accident dammage.

All in all, in-line exturnal heaters attached to smooth boar pipe, would IMO be your best option :good:

All the best
