Just started up a tank again after years without fish so have two questions hoping someone can help me with .
1..i just got a 4ft juwel tank set up with gravel water in fluval 305 external filter running ..but what size heater as have 300w in just now but its on alot is that just till tank gets up to the heat its set at then be ok or do u think need another heater in ?
2..also want to add two sponge filters in tank i have a tetratec aps50 air pump do u think i will need bigger pump for two sponge filters if so can u recommend one thanks ....wayne

To answer those Q's we need to know the volume of your tank :good:.

ok thanks its 4ft long 16 inches wide and 21 inches deep...i actually just went bought another heater set them both at same temp putt one in either end that will work plus if 1 packs in it still have some heat so that wont harm tank anyway will it

Using the calculator on this forum, that would be 264 litres? Is that correct? You've already resolved your heater problem, but with your air pump situation a Tetratec APS 50 is only suitable for up to 60 litres, though I'm unsure whether this includes the air pump being used for a filter. The APS 300 is designed for 120-300 litres, you might want to consider purchasing that, but I'm not too sure. Sorry I can't help you much!

i did think would need a bigger one being honest so i will get one as would rather get it done right and no thanks u been a help thank u
