Heater

Hi all,

Looking for a bit of adice, which in your opinion is the best brand for heaters on the market. i think my current Juwel heater is a little undersized for my tank. I am looking to replace it.

Visitherms are my favorite for reliability in an internal. Fluval Tronics are supposed to be good too. I've also used Tetratec and Hagen Elite heater's with good results. Avoid superfish heaters like the plague though. I went though 3 of them in as many months...

I really like the Hydor inline heaters too. Its nice to get the the whole device out of the tank and they seem rock-solid powerful, but my personal experience time with mine is only a little over a year.

Agree with rabbut with the visitherm but i would also recommend elite's too, had both and never failed once (touch wood)


Cant comment on the hydors but ive herd so good reviews.

although ive never used one, ive seen a few visitherms go on other forums, i would always go digital now such as the rena smart heater or the fluval E series
