heater question

my 100watt heater was working fine then i noticed today when we got a bit of a cold spell that it wasn't staying on the temp is reading 72*when i adjusted it a notch or two the light won't stay on it just flicker's.does this mean it isn't working or is the light just bad?will call petco on this and see what they say.

sounds to me like the thermostat has gone,
time to buy a new one or get a free replacement if it's not that old.

took it back to petco today and the guy put it in a plant tank and it was doing the same thing flickering.He gave me a replacement and said,"If this one don't work i'll give you credit toward a guardian."Sound good i replied,the heating element was the problem on the 6 day old one.I did what the guy said to with the first one soaked in the tank for about an hour before being plugged in.Guess we'll see what happens with this thura warm unit.Anyone else have probs with there heat unit?If so what?Thank you,Saul.
