Heater "popping"

i have a 200 w no name heater in my 55 gallon tank...recently ive been hearing a loud popping noise coming from the tank, i noticed that this noise only happens when the heater is on so i decided it has to be it...also when the heater is on it seems to emit a small amount of bubbles...i just noticed this part today

Has anyone else had this happen? im pretty convinced i need a new one, plan on getting 2 150 w to replace this one...

You're spot on. Replace it ASAP. The sounds are worrying, but the bubbles are a huge red flag. Replacing it with two heaters is a great idea; it provides redundancy and reduces risk in the event of a malfunction. Good luck!

Thanks for the reply! the temp is still at 75 F so the heater still works, i hope it can hold up one more night lol
