Hey all, well on impulse I picked up a fluval edge heater beacuase I like the unobtrusive design. It wasn't until getting it home that I realised its 'set' at a particular temperature.
However, I'm a little confused as to what that temperature is?
On one side of the box it shows 26'C (which is too warm for my needs) but on the other it says " 4'C above ambient room temperature " which is better (though not ideal).
Has anyone had any success in using an external thermostat with this? or in somehow adjusting its 'set' temp (I would hate to think it might push the temp even higher if summer temperatures happened to get high for example).
The reason I bought the heater was to keep the tank at 18'C minimum so I could introduce some assassin snails to my white clout/pitbull/ramshorn/bubble snail tank.
