Does anyone use these for heating tanks?I have quite a few of these for the reptiles and was wondering if anyone used them for heating tanks especially interested if anyone uses them for heating a few small tanks

You'll find a lot of planted tank keepers use them, I know gf225 does. In that context, opinion ranges from ecstatic praise, to they're useless type comments.

I guess it depends what you want to use them for.

Well,

Since fitting mine, I have found that the rooting networks on just about every plant in my tank have gone mad. The roots on the plants seem to go deeper, and they are stronger. My vallis also seems to send out runners more often aswell. I have no ill effects to report. May I add that my cable is supplementry to my main heaterstat.
