heard of or seen this product?

it's supposebly a little rubber star with pre- cultered bacteria, i tried a few out on a cycling tank and within 12 hours ammonia and nitrites were 0. seems a little unbelievable to me and i'm thinking that it just destroys ammonia and nitrite or something along the lines of that ... anyways has anyone else heard of or tried these?

I don't know about stars, but they do make bio-balls. Could be very similar. They are an excellent addition to any biological filtration system you have. They are used heavily in marine systems, and I'm sure would be equally successful in freshwater. They are an excellent breeding ground for beneficial bacteria.
