We all worry our fish will get cold and stay on top of our heaters...but...
Weather is warming. I'm frugal and hold off on AC for as long as possible
Living in Texas, we get CRAZY fluctuations in our weather. Unfortunately between the aquarium heater i must have needed the day before ??( Lol ) and the increase in heat I lost some of my fish.
Seriously, weather or not I dropped the ball.
It was my first year to have anything other than a betta...with an easily visible heater to remind me, so I guess I'm not a monster and so lesson learned.
Hopefully I can save someone from having to go through this.♡

Sorry for your loss and thanks for the heads up. :friends:

What fish did you lose?

If you insulate the back and sides of the aquariums with polystyrene foam, the temperature won't fluctuate as quickly and that gives the fish more time to adjust to the changes in temp.

Insulating the tanks also reduces power consumption and saves you money :)
