I've noticed that one of my head + tail light tetras has a small see-through lump underneath it's bottom lip (don't know if they have lips but it sure looks like they do!)

Any ideas what this could be? An internal parasite? If so, what should I do to treat it?

Swellings on the skin could be...

1) Parasitic cysts. (Treat with anti parasite meds)

2) Physical damage. (treat with melafix)

3) Bacterial infection. Usually accompanied by inflammation and raised scales. (treat with anti bacterial meds)

4) Internal tumours. (untreatable, euthinasia is recomended for severe cases.)

HTH

I would for now do a few daily water changes and keep an eye on it.
