:-( :-( one of my pihranans was born with one eye and now he jus got in a fight and lost the other one :-( i was just wondering if he will be a target and get ate by the other one? :-( :-( :-(

Wow. I'm not sure what you can do. So, he has no eyes now. It'll be hard for him to get his food. You're going to have to isolate him and put food right in front of his mouth if you want to keep him. I don't think he'll be very happy though. :-(

yea i called the pet store and they said theres nuttin i can do an that he will prolly get eatin :-(

They can smell as well so this isn't a hopeless cause. If you're lucky, it will be able to find food that way. There are plenty of blind fish that do fine.

Pacuman,

Well, no but I did in fact want some for a while and plan on buying a very large tank and getting some. I have done a lot of reasearch about them. I have Silver Dollars, which are closely related to Piranhas. They're really great fish.

He needs a guide dogfish.

Seriously though I hope he's ok. Its crap when a fish gets injured.
I lost my Singapore flower shrimp a few days ago and I was devastated.

Poor Shrimpy.

pacuman, good luck with your Pirana... I'm pretty sure it will be ok. Just keep an eye on it and a few water changes couldn't hurt either.

I have three silver dollars, I didn't know that they were related to piranhas. It is interesting that there are community fish whereas piranhas are aggressive. How big are your silver dollars? Mine are still babies, about 2 inches. I think they are cool fish, they follow my hand and the minute I come close to the tank they are right there and follow me if I move from one end to another. Very interactive!

Yes, mine are about the same size right now. Silver Dolllars are basically vegetarian piranhas. They are really awsome fish! :D
