Hc 1.99! *drools*

hey i went on http/www.tropical-aquarium-plants.co.uk to buy some plants and they have HC for 1.99!

now that is a bargain! they also have four leaf clover - ive just ordered a bunch of that, i wish i had it potted now! argh, oh well more HC is on its way anyway! *rubs hands together*

HC = Hemianthus callitrichoides 'cuba', excellent carpeting plant, smallest plant in the aquarium trade too, as far as i know.

I just ordered some glosso from them a week back. i have to say what i got was terrible... a complete brown mess. I emailed her straight away, and i know some plants are bad when they arrive so i gave it a week before emailing back. It's still a brown mussy mess, which i dont have much hope for. She says i should plant it... but i dont think so.
She wasnt going to give me a refund or send me another that's for sure

ive always had this problem with Glosso and ive had it from several different places - i gave up in the end!

however i always get mine from here, cheap and all mine have been tip top condition

another great place which take a while to come but are in realli good condition are www.java-plants.com ive had no troubles and had three orders from them and one was a bogwood with moss and it came realli green i was very impressed

i had some missing 'cos she didnt want to send out any bad looking plants, so some wernt ready yet/not in stock - but i recieved it in the end

This is the picture of the glosso i sent to her to show how bad it is. This was taken 1 week after the order was placed. I am using high light and CO2 with ferts...

There are a few green leaves, but most of it is just a brown mess. She's still telling me this is fine and that i should plant it???
What do you think? I say it's pretty much dead, and she knew that before sending it out. Yet she wont replace it. I wont order from there again... There's plenty of others that have better sevice and plants.

I still dont like how she just sends out one a week, so it you place an order on a saturday it would be almost 2 weeks till you received your plants...

Hi Voo,

I would re-email her informing her that the items received were not what you expected, and that you are protected under the 'Trades Description Act' and also the 'Distance Selling Regulations'.

As such, you can ask for a full refund (apart from postage) or request a replacement.

The fact that a supplier is making a fuss over a plant is ridiculous. She has probably wasted more money by spending time answering emails/phone calls etc than it would cost to resend out a replacement plant.

Needless to say I won't be ordering from these people!

Thanks, it's now been 2 weeks and i think out of all that mess i manage to get maybe 10 stems? No more of it has grown and it's still a brown mess of rotting roots. She did say it needed planting to recover. I've just had it floating in a breeder trap, it'll get the most light there and i can keep an eye on it. Is this ok?

I will email her again later today with an updated pic asking for a refund. I dont know if sending more out will just give me more of the same.

EDIT: I dont mean to put everyone off ordering from her, i will say that the rest of the order was fine. However the glosso i received was bad, all the leaves fell off and they were already yellow and starting to rot. i dont think this would happen overnight in the post, so she must have known what she was sending me was a load of rubbish.
