Well one of two things, firstly whenever I try to upload an image from my computer, everytime I browse for a picture or any file the browsing thing crashes. This happens with anything when I use the browse function....

Also I'm going to be getting a new graphics card soon, and I understand that I need a new power supply to support this new Graphics card. I just wondered how hard are power supplies to install :D

First problems not sure need more details check your background processes (how many do you have running at any one time) are you sure its crashing and not just being extremely slow? Some <2ghz processors with insufficient ram and a lack of software based maintenance can result in uploads appearing to freeze for a minute or 2 but then completing and returning to normal, what are your current system specs.

Second problem is more my element :). Which graphics card are you getting? What games do you want to play? Have you checked whether your motherboard is AGP or PCI-E slot based? Whatever you do don't go cheap on the power supply it is the foundation for all other components, if a power surge occurs it could knock out everything. What wattage and brand is your current PSU (open up the case an look at the sticker ;))? How much Ram do you have? What operating system are you using? What processor do you have?

I know it seems like a lot of questions but all of them have a direct relation to gaming.

It's PCI-E slot based, I was thinking on the Radeon HD 4870 as I've heard good things about this. My currently power supply is just under 300 watts, i've looked at the sticker but can't for the life of me remember what it is. I have 4GB ram, one sec i'll copy everything i've said from the tech forum :D....

And I know they have a relation to gaming mate and I appreciate your help, I want to be able to play games like Crysis on Ultra high, and COD6 when it comes out and Starcraft 2 & Diablo 3 :D..

Here is a copy of what I posted on Tech forums:

"I've been rethinking about my whole approach on my money spending, and I was going to buy a TV but I realised all I do is play computer games, and with COD6, Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3 comming out, its going to be hard to remove me from my computer. Basically I have around £400 (651.389 USD) to spend, and basically would like it if you guys could come up with the best PowerSupply/Graphics Card/Processor Combo for gaming with this money bracket. (Sorry if it sounds like i'm demanding alot out of you guys)

Here is a link to the motherboard that I have got http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/documen...cname=c01357135 , It says it supports AMD Phenom Processors, but would that include AMD Phenom II's also?"

"OPERATING SYSTEM:WINDOWS 2.6.0.6001 (SP 1) <--- Just upgraded to service Pack 2, I don't know if that is good or not, but the upgrade was there so I took it ....

CPU TYPE:AMD PHENOM(tm) 9550 QUAD-CORE PROCESSOR
CPU SPEED (GHZ):2.22
SYSTEM MEMORY (GB):3.998
GRAPHICS CARD MODEL:ATI RADEON HD 3650
GRAPHICS CARD DRIVER:ATIUMDAG.DLL
DESKTOP RESOLUTION:1680X1050
HARD DISK SIZE (GB):465.759
HARD DISK FREE SPACE (GB):465.648"

And this was the Graphics card I was looking at http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/2GB-Sapphir...Sub-DL-DVI-HDMI , They do a 1GB version for 120£ but I didn't know wether I should get the 2GB for an extra 30£ :D...

Also my motherboard says it supports AMD Phenom, but I don't know if that includes AMD Phenom II, which would be my choice if I got a new processor...

You won't be able to play crysis on highest unless your running tri-sli gtx285 or your running at 800x600 res on your 4870. Starcraft 2 is meant to be reasonably demanding and diablo 3 is low demanding. Mobo is rubbish it needs upgrading so that you can overclock and you then need a cpu cooler what is the speed of your ram? Guessing it will be DDR2-5300/5400

Motherboard
Cpu cooler
Psu
Graphics card
What case do you have?
Is an excellent budget case and puts you at 403 squid

You can use the case fans from your current case to add to the antec 300s extra bays

Future upgrade just stick with your current quad for now but overclock it
Alternative upgrade its triple core but it is an excellent cpu

www.tech-forums.net/pc is the best tech forum I have found and its the one I frequent the most.

i've had the file problem you describe with a video file in windows. It normally happened when windows tried to do the thumbnail preview, I never tracked down the file but managed to get around it by always viewing in list or description so windows doesn't load a preview.
