Ime just after a little input from people on how they have scaped there liverock in there current or previous tanks.

Ive one of many people that just aint satisfied with there current scape of liverock and i wanna have a move around.

Thing is as it is at the moment ive got the rock stacked up in the middle of the taank away from the glass sides of the tank to allow me to clean it it easier, but some of the tanks ive been checkin out on here and other websites have had the rockwork up against the glass sides of the tank only problem with this is you obviously cant clean it.

So as ive said could i have some input from people on how there liverock is in there tanks.

Thanks.

good point......I guess then that people keep it just that little bit away from the glass then

Well, a lot of that really depends on what size rocks and where they're pressing as far as worring about the pressure points causing glass failures. True they CAN, but it doesn't mean they always WILL. I used to have my rocks stacked against the glass... Hated it cause I couldn't clean round it. Bought a wider tank (front to back) just so I could scape better

I have my rocks stacked against the back glass but not against the sides (they are viable and I hate having spots I cant clean). I could be wrong but my theory is if the bottom of the tank can tank the weight of the rock the sides must be able to as well (assuming its all the same thickness/type of glass).

Iv had rock leaning against all my past cichlids tanks along with both my current marine tanks and do not believe it really affects it as long as you are carefull and do not place a really large and heavy rock that is only to be supported by the back. Tha could cause a lot of pressure to build up at the point it is leaning against...
