It's brilliant. I've not only read it, but read it repeatedly. If you are into that group of fish, it is the authoritative book.
Taxonomically, it is outdated, because Anton Lamboj hasn't stopped working on these fish. There have been new species described, and several papers dividing old 'convenient', temporary Genuses. That changes nothing in the info on keeping the fish, or on their habitats. Some of the then Pelvicachromis are now in Wallaceochromis, and a lot of ex-Hemichromis are Rubricatochromis now, but it's easy to reset. It isn't exactly an everyday need to have the up to date names, and the book is what, 20 years old?.
The trip I was on in Gabon was part of the whole process. Dr Lamboj is a nice guy, and it shows in the writing. But those limited market out of print books are always expensive. Since I'm really into those fish, I'd buy it again if burglars stole my copy.
