I've got 3 Trilineatus Corys in a tank with Endlers and a Platy.

I've noticed 4 or 5 small white sphere attached to leaves recently.

Are these Cory eggs or could they be snail eggs?

Was going to add a couple of Otos to the tank today but should I leave it for now?

Thanks

yeah sounds as if they are cory eggs
id remove them with the leaves there attached to ,place them in a floating container in your tank a tubawear tub is ideal and put an air stone dangling into it for water movement

Do they look like this

If so, they're cory eggs.

What kind of eggs are those? I've never seen Cory eggs with attachments like that. Could they be immature/failed eggs?

Interesting......

Yes they sound like cory eggs, particularly trilineatus eggs as trilineatus lay small amounts of eggs each time, whereas some like c.aenus will lay loads of eggs at once.

it looks like the females picked up a few sand grains on the eggs
congrates on your spawn :good:

As windy said, the female had picked up sand before she lay them on the glass. They were C. Aeuneus eggs, and were fertilized, they were from the last spawn I got from them before they were rehomed. I sold the last of the fry from that spawn last year.

:D

Thanks guys,

I found several more on the thermometer in the corner of the tank. I can see probably 10 or 12 now, scattered about.

I would like nature to take its course with them. Will they hatch if I just leave them and will they be eaten once/if they do hatch?

Thanks again.

Most of the time you won't find all the eggs in your tank, so eggs which are well hidden do eventually hatch. It depends what else you have in your tank and what kind of hiding places you have, whether you'll get any fry just leaving the eggs. Some cories don't eat their eggs, but most do. In fact, I have yet to get a cory that doesn't.

Sounds like cory eggs, one of our moderators, Inchworm, has a group of cories who lay on her thermometers.

:good:

I only have 3 Corys, 4 Endlers, 3 Otos and 1 Platy in a small tank. There are plenty of hiding places though so you never know?

i have a breeding group of 9 pandas i just leave the eggs on the glass every month or so i just take out some baby pandas and take them to lfs
also in the tank are 50+ 134s 4x 174s 2 x262s 2x 066s 20+ 201s 2 adult 134s
if you have an external filter make sure you check the dirty water in the bottom theres always loads of baby cories
