Ok, I'm nearing the end of cycling (I think!) and yesterday Nitrite levels were what they've been for a while, about 3.0.

This morning I did a water change and I tested the water about 3 hours later, and found nitrite levels much better. Is that because of the change, or am I almost done with cycling? It was about a 10-15% change. Thanks.

Until that level gets to zero before the water change you are not cycled. TO be cycled you should have zero ammonia and nitrites for a few days in a row while still feeding the ammonia to the tank. So nitrites and ammonia MUST be at zero before it is cycled and safe to add fish. HTH :)

OK now it's been about 12 hours since the change and Nitrite is 0....I'm crossing my fingers here. It may be over!

I think you're right! It might be over. The nitrites drop rapidly when they finally decide to do so. I'd keep testing for a day or two to make sure the ammo and nitrites stay at zero. :)
