Well we decided we did want a male betta even though we got a lovely cute female one on Tuesday who is doing great and eating well. So we went out to our lfs and their males had come out of quarantine but we missed out on some of the best ones but got a lovely medium red VT (I think) which has blue lines between some of his fins.
He was flaring away in a tank of neons would you believe. He's in his own tank now which used to be the fry grow-out but they've been shuffled into the 21 gallon now. He was flirting with us after a couple of hours by doing a flare swim-by
He's lovely but as yet isn't very interested in any food even though we tried to entice him with frozen bloodworm yesterday. The female however loved them! He's quite active swimming around and investigating his new home.
Have filled all my tanks now so can't get anymore but I do really like these lovely fish
