i have just got rid of my tropcal tank which was an aqua 1 320. i have a river reef interpet 50 and was wondering other than a quarantine tank could i use this for anything elce. thanks

These are harder due to evaporation and fluctuations of anything be it heater, evaporation, ammonia, etc. are greater. There's really not a whole lot you could keep in it.

i could but i ont know how. no i didnt want to keep fish in it i wanted ideas like a sump. how would i do this

drill your tank at the bottom and install a wier/overflow , add pipe to this and direct it to the sump, then have your configuration, then a pump to deliver back to the tank.

diamond tippred circular (like a circle outline without the middle bit like a normal 32mm drill) it was very easy...let the drill do the work...keep it wet and cool.

i cut some too...VERY easy

Not actually done it, keeping it in head for future reference. Like a circle outline is the type I meant yes. I have done tiles before using a water spray bottle as other half was slowly drilling.

He is a bit nervous about drilling the actual tank though when we change 55g. If I tell him a 14 yr old can do it why can't he, he may have a go!!

i made a ring out side the hole with blue tack and kept it filled with the hose pipe

i did the base of my rekord 60 for a future coral farm

Don't suppose you could do a quick sketch of how you are plumbing that and are you using Durso standpipe??
