Now I'm not a massive boxing fan, but I am quite looking forward to this one

I think Mayweather is the definately the better fighter, but Hatton is just as hard as nails. When he lands the body shots on opponents, it makes me feel sick let alone them.

So Mayweather it technically the better man, but Hatton hits hard, very hard and he can take a punch. It's a bit like football, Man Utd are definately a better team than Bolton, but Bolton still beat them.

I'm going for Hatton to win by KO/Stoppage, but I could easily see it going any way I shaln't be putting any money on it

I suspect there will be a split on voting with nearly all Americans going for Mayweather, none of whom think Hatton has a hope  Lots of Brits will likely vote Hatton, even if (like me) they think Mayweather is the better fighter, just cos there's nothing like seeing a loudmouthed big head getting a whooping  and this is the Land of Hope and Glory.

C'mon HITMAN :D

aye I don't know why I'm still up need early night for energy tomorrow!!

I love Hatton and he looks like in shape of life but I think Mayweather on points although I hope I'm very wrong.

When he fought De La Hoya he was just boring and cute and won in the end despite de la hoya being the aggressor

Come on Ricky

I'll have to ask one of my mates what he thinks he's rated no.2 in boxing in the uk and his dad runs the club in town.

Watched a couple of the 24/7 HBO programs last night which made me laugh

Mayweather was looking sideways into the camera posing while rapidly punching moving pads, then it went back to Manchester and Hatton was mimicking it, he said you have to admire his hand speed, but I could punch like that for 6 months without getting tired, I hope he hits me like that in the ring

Then they showed Hatton hitting Billy Graham with the body pad thing on  I really can't imagine being hit that hard in the body  . The man is an animal.

I'm even more confident Hatton will win with a stoppage :good: I know Mayweather has had a few dust ups in his time, but I'm not sure any of them were quite so hard hitting or as tough as Hatton. I could see Mayweather takiing it on points, possibly even by quite a wide margin as he's technically a better boxer, or it could get stopped if Hatton cuts and bleeds too much which I'm sure Mayweather will be aiming for.

i am a big boxing fan and this is IMO one of those pick em fights

on one hand if floyd tries to stand toe to toe and trade he will lose, he has never been in with a vicous body puncher like hatton before. the only times he has come close to losing were against pressure fighters namley de la hoya and castillo(who hatton sparked in 4).

but the castillo hatton beat though was not the same fighter that floyd beat make no mistake about it!

the other hand is if floyds as exspected tries to box on the outside using his 6" reach advantage to simply pick hatton apart. i do not beleive floyd has anything like the required power to knock out hatton, but i feel he can force a TKO stoppage by landing leather and avoiding hatton thus basically making hatton hit thin air.

now onto hatton he hits harder than anyone floyd has ever fought before and as well trained as floyd may well be there are parts of the human body no amount of training can strengthen namley the kidney area that hatton used to put castillo down. hatton needs to take the fight to the inside and stop floyds breathing room he needs to swarm all over him. even try to pin him to the rops and just unload even if he is only hitting floyds arm they will give way eventually after a number of sustained attacks!

in summary floyd is a notoriously slow starter and hatton is a fast starter the key is the first 4 rounds, if hatton can hurt floyd in those rounds he might be able to stop him getting going, but if he cannot hurt floyds in those rounds exspect to see a WIDE unanimous decision in favour of floyd.

make no mistake about it though i am supporting hatton all the way and have money on him, if what billy graham says is to be beleived even most americans want hatton to win because floyd is suck a prat

so finally COME ON RICKY!!! :good:

Just watched the Amir Khan fight  well I watched the replay as I was getting a drink when the fight started  And there is the reason I am not staying up until around 4am and paying £15.

I'll probably pay for it in the morning and watch a replay.

that amir kahn fight was a farce, what was the ref thinking i can garantee you that if that was kahn who went down he would not of stopped the fight!

i promise you all this now if kahn ever gets in the ring with juan diaz he will get knocked out, you heard it here first :D

anyway 1 and half hours till big fight time with 2 cracking undercard fights coming up

COME ON RICKY!!!

well first the ref was a bloody joke he should not of been in that ring!

but that being said the better man won and no amount of bad reffing will ever change that ricky got KO'ed and lost to the better man, so hats off to floyd :good:

your still a prat floyd but your the best active boxer today much as it pains me to admit it -_-

now IMO ricky should step back down to light/junior welter and look at fighting one of the other 4 champions namley witter, mallignaggi or reese. i think mallignaggi and reese are easy pickings for ricky but witter would be a HUGE match up over here and no doubt could sell out wembley. actually he should unify the light welter division he is not comfortable at welter but is the best in the world at light welter :good:

Watched the fight quite a few times now and to be honest Hatton was never in the same class as Floyd. Irrespect of Hattons moving up in weight, he was never going to trouble the Yank. Floyd was just awesome, reminded me of Suger Ray Leonard in some respects... classy boxer. Hatton should take his purse and hang up his gloves he's finished in America no one will want to see him again he had his big horrah and failed miserably. Moving down to his natural boxing weight and mopping up that division again seems pointless. Floyd has his head screwed on and he quoted I'm going to retire from boxing...Boxing is not going to retire me. Promoting is where it's at.
It's just the way I see it...

i see we got all Hatton fans on this site. If mayweather can beat Oscar De la Hoya then he would of had no problem beating this Hatton guy. What a joke..

Gotta love an "expert" who gives his opinion after the event
I'm no expert hence I didn't vote....just passed comment.
Come on Arfie if you read your initial post between the lines was you hoped that Hatton was going to win rather than a full commitment.(patriotic thing) True Mayweather has a gob on him but if your that good then you can lead with your lip. (Look at ALI)
Aw well roll on the next big hyped con courtesy of SKY Television.

Wasn't aimed at you BigC ;)

You are right, I always knew (and stated) that Mayweather was the better boxer, but we can all hope :) If I were that convinced Hatton was going to win, make no mistake, I'd have had my hard earned cash laid down at the bookies. But at least I gave my opinion BEFORE the fight.
