Some books suggest that hatchetfish are easy to keep and others say they are quite tricky. Would they be compatible with my fish (and ph of 7.6)??

Anyone had good/bad experiences with hatchetfish?

Thanks
Andy

I have has two Marbled Hatchet fish for about a year now in a community tank with Angels, Sharks Barbs etc and they are fine.

They are a nice addition as they spend all their time at the surface looking for food!!

Easy to keep and great to watch!!!!

I've not had problems in the past except with them jumping out at cleaning time, leading to much excitement as you try to find them whilst trying not to tread on one. :D

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Jumping out's a problem, from my reading. You could add floating plants as hiding places. Larvae and flightless fruit flies are good for them (why did I write this?)

Do some research b/c I believe they have some special requirements...
