Really Good Pix of your hatchets, Pix 2 and 5 remind me of birds in formation.

Thanks for the comments guys. Wish I has a better camera so I could get really good pics.

Yeah they do- The tight schooling and those long pectoral fins do remind me of birds. Amazing how this fish has evolved to be the way it is now, those big chests really are something!

Hey, blue acara, got any full-tank shots? From what I can see of it, the tank looks beautiful!
Cheers,
GobyMaster

Here it is- its still a work in progress. Aquascaping is an art, and im no artist! Its a jungle atthemo-which the fish love. I want to get some nice tall bits of wood to go in there soon, which will add a focal point and hopefully improve the look of the tank.

Your tank looks great, love the jungle, the hatchets are cool, they are great jumpers if they get a fright, c. adolfi are super looking cories.

First let me say Bravo on the tank! It looks great, definatley the best I have seen this month!
I love the pics of the hatchets, photography must be your thing.
Did you get a chance to quarantine them first? The only reason I ask is because they are very prone to whitespot and tend to be pretty diseased at the store (at least the one I work at, and I have seen this many stores).
Either way they look great and healthy and if you didnt quarantine hopefully all will turn out ok :good:
Again, great tank.

You sure look like an artist after seeing those pictures!
That tank is gorgeous!
What is it stocked with?
Apart from the Cardinals, Otocinclus, Hatchets, and Corydoras, of course, ;)
Cheers,
GobyMaster

Well looking at some other planted tanks on this forum and others mine looks crap- I am determined to make it better though. :shifty:

The stocking is-
6 c.adolfi
40 cardinals
15 rummy nose
8 black phantom tetra
8 otos
6 hatchets
1 green phantom plec
1 pair of apistogramma- not sure what type
6 pencil fish- again not sure on the exact species.

need to get 20 amano shrimp and possibly some cherry shrimp to complete the stocking.

South American style tank.(apart from the shrimps)

No I didn't quarantine them first. Ive stocked the tank fairly quickly, I have added most of the fish in the last 30 days-so if there is a problem I just med the whole tank. Touch wood there has been no problems and hopefully this will continue. Any future additions to the tank will be quarantined before they go in.

Woah, 40 Cardinal Tetras! That really must look impressive when they all school together! How big is the tank?
Also, you have a Green Phantom Plecostomus? Got any pictures of it? Those guys are so cool!
Once again, a job well done on the tank!
Cheers,
GobyMaster

Sounds good blue acara :good:
Wasnt hassling you or anything just curious.
I hope one of my planted tanks will turn out like yours one day!

Drew
