So, decided to test the water today. My jaw dropped. The nitrite was 0. Convinced I was seeing it wrong, I did another test. 0 again.
It seems a bit odd to me though. Yesterday morning the nitrite was about 5 ppm.

So, my question is- Has my tank cycled?
The ammonia is 0, not too sure about nitrate but there is some in there. It has been cycling for 2 months ish, been adding fish food and I did have some fish in there. The only thing is I have high pH.
I will get to the shop tomorrow anyway and get a water test there, then,.....

BETTA TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :fish:

If it's been 2 months, I'd say you're safe to go but make sure there is some nitrate as an end product because you need to know if there's enough bacteria to convert your new fishes ammonia. If your nitrate is close to 0, then most likely you may have a peak again if you add your fish.

Nitrites willstay high for a long time, however, when they drop they drop hard.

I dont think I have ever saw a middle reading when nitrite was dropping.

Wheheeeeeeee :D I'm very very very happy now :) I will try to go to the shop today or tomorrow. Then I will post a pic of my beautiful boy :)
