has anyone got mountain minnows

hi ive got a 5 gal set up and i was thinking of putting a goldfish in there but then i read on the internet that white cloud minnows can go in cold water how many do you think i can get in there and still have room

I've got a 5g and two White Clouds too, but its really my snailarium. They're a shoaling fish, small, and can survive in a coldwater set-up, I think you'd be able to fit 5 in there comfortably.

EDITED - I originally started out with four, but since they were so small two had been eaten by their tank mates. My mistake.

I had a school of 5 in my 5 gallon tank when I was away at school, with a snail. I had no problems, and they seemed to do just fine

I had 10 in a 10g and they were fine for ages until i got a slightly bigger tank (20g) and they went in with a couple of goldfish and wwere fine

Clouds are great little fish, If you can get Gold Get them, When they mature and Color up they are Fabulous.

hi since i posted my minnow question i bought 5 for £4 but he gave me 6 for some reason
i couldnt get gold ones ive got the ones that are pink and yellow
they are doing fine, i know they are a shoal fish but flipping heck they are never more than a centermeter apart from eachother how long will it be before they lay eggs because i think i got 3 males and 3 females the 3 are bigger than the other 3 and more colourful im luving them anyway
