Has Anyone Got A Clown Plecostomus?

We recently bought a clown plecostomus and he has rarely leaves his cave. is this normal?

Plecos in general are nocturnal for the most part - - I usually only see the tail of my clown pleco or his silhouette clinging to the underside of a piece of driftwood

I've got a clown. He spends most of his time during the day under his bog wood, occasionally pop's out once in a while, but is very shy and doesn't like sudden movment outside of the tank. If there is, he soon shoots back under his bog wood. You probably woant see him that often while the lights are on.
