I love harlequin rasboras. Never kept them myself.

Mine loved it when I had a power head in the tank. They would play in the flow and throw themselves into the current. They are super fun and funny.

For fun, find out which harlequins they are - there are several species traveling through stores on that common name. Trigonostigma heteromorpha is the usual harlequin, but T espei and T hengeli also show up under that name.

Mine used to spawn on the undersides of Cryptocorynes, with a very beautiful spawning ritual. I had them in a community, so no eggs ever lasted long. But, recently, years later, a kid up the street from here was breeding them. I was jealous - a 14 year old trying to give me some because she had too many!
Our water is quite soft and mildly acidic, and I had given her Cryptocoryne wendtii. She had them at 25c. That's all I can tell you. She seemed to consider them easier than guppies.
Grrr.

They are really cool fish to keep.

yeah its fun watching them to the filter

Get more of them and they will feel more secure.(at least 20).

Another interesting species is the Red Phantom Tetras. They have very nice fins with black patch.

But if you want something that light up your tank, get a group of Cardinal Tetras.

If it's a 75 gallons (about 300 liters) / 4 feet tank, you can easily add up to 30-40 of them.
Cardinal won't school with Rasboras as they look totally different and are from different family.
Cardinal is from Tetra species and Characin family.
Harlequin is from Rasboras species and Cyprinid family.

You can view the different fish family here:

Here are some videos for the different species:

Yes, go ahead.
Harlequin Rasboras and Kuhli loaches are Asian fish...looks like you are building an Asian fish tank ..

Do you know your water hardness(GH) ?
If you have soft water (low GH), you can keep most of the Asian and South American fish as long as they are not too aggressive/compatible
