hardy catfish

are catfish hardy??????

coz i got a tank cycling but theres a bit of algae startin........so i wanna know if i can put pollishing pleco's in while the water isnt brilliant b4 it gets out of hand

I think they are pretty hardy. Depends on what species i suppose. The pleco's i've had are very hardy. Try a bristlenose in that size tank.
 
most plecos are very hearty fish, some of the exotics like zebra plecs require brisine water though. bristle nose are good but not the best algae eaters. I'd go with a common plec and when he outgrows the tank get a larger tank!!! or trade it back to the lfs for credit on something else.
 
i got 2 pleco's and theyre doin a great job
