I'm trying to get a hold of some gobies, rhinogobius duospilus, also known as white cheeked goby. I've tried some stores and so far I have one that was going to check with their distributors, the other point blank told me they would have to put me on a waiting list and notify me if they ever got them in, which I was told wasn't that often, and they have some serious fish lists. Aquabid doesn't have any either.

Anyways, I was just wondering if anyone knew of any web sites or something that I might be able to check out, I've googled buying them but no luck, just articles on keeping them. But I have one more place to get back to, as they never called me back, so I might have a chance with them.

I was also hoping if anyone knew how much they go for and/or what season I would most likely have luck locating them, as they seem to be a more seasonal fish.

Thanks.

If you're in the UK, then Tropical Fish Finder, a site I work for, has a database that most aquarium shops update. Just enter the species you want to buy, hit the "Find my Fish" button, and see what pops up. The "Stock" button tells you which shops have the fish, at least last time they updated their database entries (typically every couple of weeks, so occasionally stuff is sold out, so it's worth calling first).

In this case, R. duospilus is at Maidenhead Aquatics@ Truro, R. giurinus at Maidenhead Aquatics@ Guildford and Maidenhead Aquatics @ Bridgend, and R. candidianus at all sorts of places.

Cheers, Neale

Aw, I'm sorry, I should have mentioned I was in the US...
