I have been looking on ebay for a tank to complement the existing, on the other side of the wall, I can accomodate a 180lt or a 240-270lt. I am looking for the Juwel Rio or Vision in beech colour.

It is very hard due to the distances involved, I would not mind paying for a courier delivery but most sellers do not want to hear of a courier (too much hassle).

So I keep looking but there is no much luck. In the meantime, brand new Juwel tanks are ridiculously expensive, the cabinet alone costs £180 - you'd think it were solid mahogany hand carved by religious monks in Tibet - but no, it's just cheap and tacky chipboard (which is actually the worst possible material to use near water).

What I would need is a dependable man+van to do the carrying for me, then I could bid for tanks half way across the country! (for those in the US that means a few hours drive)

keep your eye on the Juwel website too cos they often do a deal where the cabinate is free when you buy the tank. It's worth waiting for these deals to crop up.

In the meantime I guess it's a waiting game to see if one crops up nearer to your location. Good luck :)

I always use parcel monkey.the courier will pick up your goods from your eBay seller straight to your door.

I gave up on eBay.
And the folks round here on Craigslist seem to be severely medicated when pricing tanks.

As for us in the States, sometimes a few hours drive is just across State.
As for a man and a van. Owning a truck with an 8 foot bed, everybody is your friend on moving day. Just not your moving day.

I bought a Juwel Rio 125 off of someone on Facebook for about £60. See if there are any swap & sales pages near you on Facebook
