A few weeks ago I moved Humphrey my moody betta into a 10 gallon tank with my ADfs so he had a bit more room to swim around, so I wanted to find a new occupant for his 2.5 gallon bowl. At the lfs I saw some lovely green and blue veiltails, but I couldnt resist buying 'Worzel Gummidge'. He was really scraggy looking, I couldnt tell what finnage he was because he was in such a mess, but he was plump and seemed healthy enough so I brought him home.

Today while water changing all my tanks I realised I had left the bowl filter off over night and there were bubbles all over the surface of the water. I thought soap had got in there somehow so I water changed quickly. (first time ive left the filter off)

Just now I read BeccaBlain's 'Happy Fishes' post and realised to my delight that it was a bubblenest!!!! If he's made them before the filter must have just dispersed them!

I also spotted that Worzel has some new fin growth in a transparent yellowy colour all around his fins. I'm so happy that he's getting better and likes it living with me.

yay Worzel :D

lol yaY for wurzel ^^ lol i used to think bubblenests were soap bubbles to lol  how'd you treat his fin damage?

I havnt done anything but give him a fin nipping free home, water changes, stress coat and blood worms. I wasnt sure if maybe he had been born with stumpy fins but apparently not :D

lool congrats on his fins healing ^^, my betta doesnt like bloodworms.. -_- weird fish
