Yea!! we also have boxing day in the proper slot here in SA, But we do not have a thanksgiving... Happy one to all my Yank friends!... I am so thankfull that I can speak to you guys via this media....Certainly kills a few dull minutes (hours) of my day.

Yea... Our "boxing day" is the day after Christmas... 26 December.

Frankly... I do not know from whence it originates, but is is a public holliday, so I don't really care where it comes from...(it's a day off work) I've also been married for 37 years, ...so no boxing at my house either.

In the UK boxing day is the day after christmas day and we get a holiday too, woo hoo

So no, we don't have it in the US.

Boxing day in Canada is the day after Xmas, I don't know what it is elsewhere. Our Canadian neighbours celebrate thanksgiving in late October.
