Okay, that's it. I'm sold on sand substrate. Now, I just have to find the energy and time to switch up all my tanks. When I got up this morning and turned the light on in my 45 gallon tank, all three kuhli loaches and six cories were sitting on the little patch of sand I added on behalf of my new kuhlis! It's not a big patch of sand; they were practically sitting on top of one another! They looked sooo cute.

Swordtails, silver dollars, and barbs have all been hanging around it.
