Today my two cavalier king charles spaniels celebrated their fourth birthday. They are sisters from the same littler of four.

The birthday girls!

Enjoying their birthday breakfast: their regular pellets with mince and beaten egg, served with warm puppy milk. Here's Phoebe:

And Jasmine:

After I took the bowls away. 'Hey! Where'd the food go?'

A while ago I won a competition run by our local pet store and won two bottles of flavoured dog water - chicken and bacon. Apparently regular water isn't good enough for dogs anymore. Thought I would try it out on their birthday. (That's a rock in each bowl incase anyone is wondering, they tend to knock bowls over in their excitement.) Jasmine likes the chicken flavour:

But Phoebe can't decide!

And here is a pic of Phoebe that I just thought was cute. 'Me? Spoiled? Never!'

awww theyre cute  haha, phoebe is more curly than jasmine, is that how you tell them apart? :p

They are lovely. I have recently looked after two King Charles Spaniels for a few days. I found them to be very peaceful and sweet. I always kept terriers so I noticed the difference. Hope they enjoyed their birthday. :)

I knew someone that had one of them, she used to peg its ears together over its head when it ate - not by the skin, just by the fur. I guess they get messy? they kinda hang down.

Anyway, happy birthday girls.

I had a Cavelier King Charles sadly died 3 yrs ago now had the penny spot on his head as well he was such a cutie. When he got older hubby made steps for him and carpeted them too so he could get on the bed easily  Bless him his name was Dooley everyone admired him when he was out. Got 2 Yorkies now omg what a difference :hyper: Spike and Ellie

Thanks everyone! They seemed to enjoy the attention yesterday. :) Cavaliers have great temperaments, they are really good with little kids and older people.

Geo - yep, from a distance at least! Close up, Phoebe is a bit chubbier and smaller.
Suzie - they do! They often knock their bowls over with their ears, we have to weigh the bowls down. You can buy things called 'snoods' that are sort of a soft headband to keep their ears out of food.
SugarQube - sorry to hear about your doggy! :rip: Yorkies are great too! Our neighbour has one. Phoebe and Jaz like her as she is smaller than most of the dogs around here.
