Birthday time for the little guy, one year old today! He really has turned out to be a good dog, gets along with everyone, as well as other dogs, very unterrier like.
Thought I’d do a little photo progression of him from the first year, I think we have more pictures of this dog than we do of our kids.
This is from the weekend when we first got him, first week of July. He was 8 weeks old, typical puppy;
A couple of weeks later, ears are starting to come up;
4 months old, I hope we grow into those ears;
5 months old, just had dewclaws done, along with being snipped & chipped;
7 months old, we love the snow, and we’re starting to grow some fur;
My Christmas gift, I’m well behaved enough at almost 8 months old to start sleeping on the bedroom floor if I like;
9 months old, just hanging out in the basement;
Hanging out in the yard last weekend, almost a year old;
We had a little party last weekend, it was my son’s birthday earlier in the week, and Kaz was having a birthday in a week, so they shared. You know I was hanging on when he’s within licking distance of an ice cream cake;
He has ended up being such a well behaved and well balanced little guy in a year, probably the easiest to train out of all the terriers I have owned over many years. He is just as happy hanging out with me working with power tools as he is visiting at the nursing home, or napping in bed watching tv.

, and I'm glad to hear he's working as a therapy dog. Cute fuzziness like that should be shared with all.
and you don't see them very often. Can I nominate the one of him in the snow for POTM???
They are few & far between, we had to drive nearly 4 hours north to find a breeder who had the same ethics about breeding as we do. I've been working on hand stripping with this guy rather than clipping. It is a bit more work, the end result really shows off the coat.
