I have happy Bettas now (I think they were happy before too, though). I finally have them all moved out of the dual Betta hexes While they seemed happy in those, they seem even happier in their current locations. Two of my Bettas reside in one gallon tanks (one Betta per tank, of course!) and my other Betta, Spiderman, is in the 10 gallon community tank. At some point I want to move him out of there and in to a different tank, but for now he's good there.
The last Betta, No-Name, just got moved about half an hour ago. He's checking out his new residence, nibbling at the plants (he had the same plants in his Betta hex), checking out the air stone, and just swimming around My blue Betta, Crash, was moved in to a one gallon a few days ago. He likes it, and builds big bubble nests, but seemed lonely away from No-Name (the red Betta). I moved their two tanks near each other and Crash seems much happier now that he has a buddy near by
Crash has a non-typical tank: I didn't use aquarium gravel on the bottom. Instead, I put many agates on the bottom of the tank (Lake Superior Agates, a beautiful usually-reddish rock with "stripes", from the Lake Superior region). I collect agates, so have a large number of them. They look quite nice in the tank. Sometime I'll take a picture and upload it
That's the latest news with my Bettas....
