Addicted and in Therapy
Hey everyone! Today I took a trip to the lfs to see if I could find a different tank to put Mister Unnamed betta into. I decided I wanted one with a light to help keep the water warm, so I went with the gallon Aquascene. Bought a decoration and such to put in it, and a little while ago moved the big bugger into his new pad. He seems to really like it! So that's super news, maybe he'll be a bit more active with more space now.
Secondly... went to Walmart because honestly prices there usually can't be beat, and I'm always one to save money.
Now see, I was thinkin it might be fun to have a girl betta since I've got two boys... and at Walmart they had about 6 of the lil ladies. None of the other pet stores around here have females - that's out of about 5 lfs... so I was like hmm.... Anyways, they were all in their disgusting cups, and I didn't see any boys that went POW PICK ME! So I took a looksie at the ladies....
I felt sooooooooo bad for this one girl.. I mean, I thought my other two betta boys were rescues, but this one truly is. She was laying at the bottom of her cup, faded to a dull grey with dark stress stripes.
I almost passed her up, but took a second look and I swear she gave me puppy dog eyes. She's so pathetic, but I really want to bring her back to health because since I've put her in the little azoo I swear she's already prettier... I think she's gonna be blue and maybe some red. I already love her, I hope she recovers soon. Anyways, yippee for my day! (Also got another dwarf frog and 2 ghost shrimp.)
