why do people pinch the mouths of their plecos to hold them surley this stresses the fish out anyone wanto help with this bizzare way of holdin a fish

why would you want to hold it anyway can you just watch it for a while?

its usually for photo purposes there not actually pinching the fish just holding it lol

lol is it just me or is is topic quite strange lol ....... plecs are usually brought out of water for photo's or inspection 2 make sure everythink is ok etc etc yes it does stress them but done very occasionally wont do any harm lol amyways why would u just wanna hold a plec? its a fish and belongs in water isnt it enough just 2 see it swiiming around?

then tbh if thats a problem for u dont buy a naturally noctural shy fish if u want 2 see it on a hourly basis

lol nah m8 wasnt having a go uver actually picked 1 of the few plecs that dont really hide 2 a mass extent but have 2 disagree my choice would always be plecs as a first choice favourite

Wouldnt advise it they have a spine on their back which can be damn painful if they get you!

ive kept BN's,GN's, goldies,buttefly,clowns,king tigers,leopard frogs,zebras,queens,commons/gibbys,333's,chocolate zebs,129's, and a few others lol

currently got zebra's,leopard frogs and getting some 66's next mnth and some 129's and maybe some 183's but im sure there will be a few more species sooner or later lol

we all have 2 start somewhere m8 and mine have been kept over a long period of fishkeeping im sure ur collection will grow in time
