My bfs mom is giving me this 20 gal tank she has. I just cleaned it out, however there are just a few spots that are on the tank.
The picture is my avatar pic on my profile.
I am posting this because my bf has got me all worried that these spots with kill my fish.
I have cleaned the entire tank and just could not get the remaining things off completely.
Will it be okay to use this tank even though the spots will not come off????
What should I do?
Please take a look at the pics.

Thanks All,
Amy

Okay...so I cant freakin figure out how to attach a picture. Whoever reads this email - please contact me through my email so that I can send them a picture of the tank.

I need HELP!

The spots wont harm the fish but if you still want to remove them then you can try a couple things. One you can try baking soda and vinegar on the spots and that should remove them but if not then you can use a razor and run it along the glass and scrape it off.

I did use a razor and an algae brush. The razor worked a bit, but not completely.
Could I send you the pictures please?
I just want to make sure that it wont harm my fish.

Have you tried the baking soda and vinegar? I would just keep up with the razor sometimes it can be stubborn when its been there awhile.

If you want to show the pic try uploading it to photobucket.com and post the link here

It wont harm the fish but you may still be able to see it when its filled with water. I would just try the baking soda and vinegar mix and scrub it as much as possible. Hopefully even if it doesn't get much off it will of made it easier to scrape of with the razor
