up intil this mornin my pleco was very shy, always under a rock. but today i thougt i would put my hands in and see if he had changed, i left in in water for no longer than 15 seconds and he came out of rock over to my fingers lookign for food. so i took hand out went and prepared some pea's and have been hand feeding him last hour or so. he is 3 inches long. and body else hand feed there pleco?

what i done..... heat up some peas in microwave for about 30 seconds. let them cool down and squeeze shel off. get the iside bits and put a few in the tank near the fish, then one in your hand and put it in water away from the fish, then slowly move towards it. i literaly had 2 place my pea on his nose befoe i got any attenction form him. but now if i put my hand in tank he swims up to me and just sucks on my handmine wont take food out of my handbut when i feed the fish he swims upside down at the surface

Flumpalump my Plec does not eat out of my hand but I had an operation at the end of the year and needed to put the scar hand in to move something and he actually sucked at my scar. Although healed the scab had not totally gone then. I say my right hand scar looks better than my left and was a lot worse to start with. He obviously liked my protein and I've still all my fish so it did no harm either to me or the fish.

thats weird. maybe you are right. im sure there is some protein that the fish liked. so there we have it. anyone wantin to hand feed a plec............... cut your hand lol thanks for that though. very intersting
