Hairy Turbo Snails

My torbo snail shells are covered in a hairy algae type stuff, am i ok to give them a quick scrub with a toothbrush every now and again to keep them shiny?

Yeah as above. However, today I witnessed one of my hermits eating the hair algea off the shell of another hermit whilst it was grazing! Good sight to see.

I have hairy snail too, little tuff on top, quite cute

Mine are like rasta snails now, which is odd as the rest of the tank is clear. They will occasionally munch on each other
