I saw the Hairy Puffer (T. Baileyi) at my local fish store today. As featured in the new April issue of Practical Fishkeeping on the interesting imports.

It was selling for the same price stated in the magazine £69.95.
I'm not thinking of buying it, but what would be a suitable tank size for this puffer?

Cheers,
Mike

70 is quite a bit for one of these, i've seen them for sale as low as 40 before.

These puffers are similar to arrowheads. Not many people keep them so not too much is known about them, but around 30g should be sufficient for one.

Thanks,

I thought it was quite a lot. At first I thought it was an Arrowhead and then I noticed the bristles, hence the name hairy puffer.

At that price I would have snapped it up. £69 is a very good price for this rare puffer. I know I paid alot more.
£40 seems very cheap . A case of a mis id?

It's definitely a Baileyi, the LFS who sells them, the guy I know who works there is a puffer fanatic. It's in canterbury mind you.

Just out of interest, how much did you pay for one?
