about 5 days ago my first and favorite betta boy started developing a lump between his eyes, and the size was steadily increasing. yesterday, his left eye popped, and today the scales on the left side of his face started to stick out. turned out what i thought was a harmless bump at first, was a cancerous tumor.
today he was very lethargic, and he couldnt eat. he tried, but the tumor had grown big enough to keep his mouth from opening all the way.
i had to euthanize him. i'm so upset... he was my first and favorite betta. he had such personality... he'd eat from my hand, follow me around the room and do a little dance when i put my finger to the glass...
i miss him so much already.
